The Brief

Lou Perri, co-owner of hatted restaurant The Stunned Mullet, approached Dragonfly Marketing to manage the restaurants digital marketing activities which includes their website, their Facebook page, their email marketing and their online review listings on Trip Advisor and other major online review sites.

The Actions

After establishing the marketing objectives for The Stunned Mullet and working out exactly who their ideal target market is we were able to put together a content strategy for both their Email and Facebook marketing. Online review sites such as Trip Advisor also play a huge part in positioning the restaurant as one of the best in the region so we are also charged with managing their presence on these sites as well.

The Results

The Dragonfly Marketing team have been working with Port Macquarie fine dining establishment The Stunned Mullet since October 2012. Since then we have managed to inject some serious social sensationalism into their Facebook page and have managed to grow their likes organically (i.e using awesome posts that inspire activity instead of Facebook Ads) from 140 to well over 800.

We’ve also helped them engage with their database of diners by implementing a monthly e-newsletter packed with delicious inspiration.

At Christmas time we use the Facebook page as well as our email marketing to help promote the restaurant’s online gift vouchers and it works a treat. Sales of online vouchers at this time spike dramatically and the exciting thing is, you can even track the spike in sales to the days we post promote the vouchers via Facebook or Email. A true example of how awesome digital marketing can be!
