Tastings on Hastings 2015

The Brief

As a result of the success of the 2014 Tastings on Hastings event, we were thrilled to be signed on as the official event marketer for Tastings on Hastings for the period 2015 – 2017.

Our mission was once again was to engage the local community as well overnight tourists to attend the line up of awesome events that we had planned for our 3-day Fire Water Harvest festival.

As with the 2014 marketing, the digital marketing tactics played a central role in the event marketing strategy for 2015 and helped us build our social media audiences, maximise engagement, build email subscription numbers and promote the 2015 Tastings on Hastings event.

The Results

We achieved significant growth of our digital communities including increasing our email subscription base by over 300%, increase our Facebook community by 30%’ and more than double the size of our Instagram followers.

Our total Facebook reach for the week before the event once again hit record highs and the individual posts were reaching and engaging thousands of people each day. The knock on effect of this level of engagement also meant a massive increase in hits to the Tastings on Hastings website and a high attendance rate at our Friday night Fire Water Harvest festival.

The event hashtag #TOH2015 was used enthusiastically by the event marketing team, exhibitors, journalists and attendees.
